Perfect Christmas Experience Ideas:
★ Create a 15 minute window each night for no cell phone usage and replace with family time.
★ Ask your family what would their “perfect Christmas experience” look like.
○ Make note of their ideas which you could incorporate within reason.
★ As a family, read the Christmas Story from either Matthew 1-2 or Luke 1-2. Read the other account another night.
★ At dinner time or before bedtime allow family members to acknowledge and thank God for something they experienced today.
★ Pick up some hot cocoa mix or if you have time, mix up some hot cocoa and enjoy an impromptu hot cocoa party with the family.
★ Watch a Christmas story with the family (without cell phones).
★ Attend your child(rens) Christmas play, concert or special activity.
★ As a family hang something special (i.e. wreath, antlers or something the child makes) on or in your vehicle to remind you of this special holiday season.
★ Incorporate your child(ren) in completing your Christmas cards by letting them stuff, apply stamps or take to mailbox or post office.
★ Plan to attend a Christmas Eve service together.
★ Look for ways to serve as a family. Elderly neighbors or church members the family could bless with
time, baked goods or perhaps with a card to acknowledge them during this season.
★ Drive through neighborhoods and look at Christmas lights together.
These are not expensive or difficult ideas to make family memories with. The hardest part is just deciding which to do and do it.
